October Prayer Time
by Lindy Swanson, Prayer Team Member
For making the treasure of Your presence and glory evident through OCW;
For giving us Your Spirit’s love, power, sound judgment, and discipline
(2 Timothy 1:7);
For giving us the choice to believe.
Faith, not fear;
To focus on You, Your joy, and Your good will toward us and the purpose You
have for us;
Writing for Your glory, to strengthen and encourage Your body—the Church;
Patience and perseverance until Your Word is fulfilled;
Rest and trust in Jesus;
To kindle afresh and keep ablaze the gift You’ve given us (2 Timothy 1:6);
To “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles” so we can “run with perseverance” by “fixing our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:1–2 niv);
To not grow weary or lose heart by considering what Jesus endured on our behalf (Hebrews 12:3);
To guard the treasure of Your presence through the righteousness that comes from faith in Christ;
To invest wisely in the writing gift You have give us so that You can harvest a thousand fold.
Knowledge and understanding in every kind of literature and wisdom;
More joy in Your presence;
The ability to give You the glory, Lord.
ESTABLISH Your Word, Your will, Your Kingdom in us.
River of Life, flow through us to others because Your River gives life wherever it flows (Ezekiel 47:9). Amen.
