Lord, the world is bleeding. We are sequestered, feeling isolated and undone. Meetings in which we could massage one another’s wounds are canceled. Zoom is a poor substitute for hugs. As writers, we want to know how we can help during this crisis.
Please show each of us what we can do. An encouraging post on social media? A personal note? An email? A card that simply says, “I’m thinking of you”?
We confess that our society has wandered far from you. In 2 Chronicles 7:14, You told Israel that when hard times come if they will humble themselves and pray and search for You and turn from their wicked ways that You will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land. Thank You for that open door.
