Father God, we rejoice in Your loving care and in Your bountiful provision for our needs. Although we have struggled over the years, we have seen Your provision. God, You are so good. Your faithfulness, loving-kindness, and mercy have endured through many years and sometimes difficult times. But truly You supply every need and are even now continuing to make everything beautiful in its time. (See Ecclesiastes 3:11.) We bless Your holy name.
As we serve You, we remember the writers for whom You have called us to pray. Father God, show each one who You are. Open our eyes that we might behold Your wonder and Your glory. Startle us with Your power; humble us with Your majesty; crown us with Your loving-kindness.
Flood us with a sense of wonder and whisper deep truth into each of our souls. Energize us so that we might write words that will influence our families and churches, our communities, and our world. Keep us faithful, Father, as we continue to pray and write and move within the sphere of influence You have given us.
When we obey and walk in unison with Your Spirit, Your song becomes our song. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him” (Psalm 28:7 kjv).
His song has become our song, and we praise His holy name. Amen.
