November Prayer Time

“The desert will blossom . . . with rejoicing and shout of joy . . . They will see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble” Isaiah 35:2–3 (nasb)

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for joy that comes from Your presence, for preparing the way into Your presence by the blood and flesh of the Lamb, and for welcoming us into Your presence with joy! Help us to comprehend the height and depth and breadth of Your love in which there is no condemnation for us in Christ Jesus. Rather, we can come boldly before Your throne of grace for help and mercy in time of need with full assurance that You hear us when we pray. Thank You that prayer is a two-way conversation. You hear and answer us.

Your sheep know Your voice. Teach us discernment so we can distinguish Your voice from the others we hear. And pour into us Your revelation, knowledge, wisdom, and power within Your streams of love and the river of life.

When we don’t sense Your presence, may we wait patiently for You. May we persevere in faith and hope and choose to saturate ourselves with Your Word so Your life within us can continue to transform us as we wait. You reward us with our hearts’ desires when those desires have been shaped by Your presence within us. Thank You. We submit to You our hearts’ desires and ask You to replace any that are not divinely ordered by You. We don’t want to produce works that will burn, but rather those that will bear eternal fruit that will glorify You forever and ever.

We present our writing to You as our love offering. Cause love to overflow from within us and spill onto the page. Thank You for Your fountain of joy that rises up within us in times of need. We praise You for the joy and wonder of Your grace when You cover us under the shadow of Your wings. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
