Our 2007 Summer Conference was a tremendous success. Even though I’m the treasurer, my attention isn’t always on the finances of the organization.

Ernie Wenk, OCW Treasurer The 2007 winter conference was a tremendous success, with total income for this meeting $3,840.25
One of the new processes we have begun since the fall 2006 conference is to provide a way to register and pay for conferences and memberships on line. We have partnered with PayPal to handle the financial transactions, which provides one of the safest methods to pay for items online. In contrast to other financial institutions, PayPal does not share or sell any of your financial information to other merchants.
Of the 191 attendees at our winter conference, 61 registered and paid using the online method. Even though there were a few glitches, we were able to correct the problem. If you did not use the online option for registering, I encourage you to give it a try for the upcoming spring 2007 one-day conference. If you have any questions about the process, please feel free to email me and I will be glad to help.

Call it a guy thing, but I notice the rims on the wheels of cars, trucks and anything that moves. There is a scale for holding my attention:
- short attention - factory rims
- a second glance - after-market rims
- I want to follow - spinners or rims that are unique
The problem is that I miss noticing the vehicle the rims are on.
At our one-day conferences and our summer coaching conference, the attendees notice the rims on the OCW vehicle - the top-notch speakers, valuable information and networking opportunities they provide. The conference evaluations clearly reflect that.
The body of the vehicle those rims are on is the organization itself. And at 43 years of age, OCW is in very good shape. But if you're like me and notice just the rims - what gives OCW its high visibility - you may not pay very much attention to the body of the vehicle and what keeps it running.
