OCW Program Coordinator Candidates
Tracie believes in and supports OCW as an organization that serves Christian writers in many ways. She helped plan Writers Weekend at the Beach for six years, scheduling and coordinating workshop presenters and keynote speakers. In the past, she planned some one-day conferences for Christian women. As a published author in the general market (educational publishing), she understands this business of writing and publishing. Her vision for OCW is to continue to serve its members and bring glory to God. She envisions it as continuing to be more accessible by providing learning opportunities, encouragement, and resources for Christian writers.
Don has worked in ministry for 30 years, helped organize church and community events, and been an officer on several community boards. In addition to decades of ministry-related writing (sermons, Bible studies, and newsletters), Don has been published in periodicals and self-published his revision of William Bradford’s account of the Mayflower Pilgrims. He considers OCW one of the most valuable organizations he’s joined. Don believes OCW members must be aware of the changes in the industry and prepare for the challenges of strengthening the faith of Christians and integrating faith into the stories we share with a skeptical world. Our skills must be sharpened, our hearts encouraged, and our message compelling.
