Angella Foret Diehl is a freelance writer, editor, and blog designer. An OCW member for more than 15 years, Angella has served as OCW’s newsletter designer and OCW webmaster. She has written for The Oregonian, Christian News Northwest, and several national publications. Conference Worship Pastor

Tom Fuller is the OCW Summer Conference Pastor and Worship Leader. Tom pastors Calvary Chapel Newberg, is employed as the Communications Manager for the Oregon Employment Department, and is a published author. His latest book, Images of America: State Capitol Buildings, was published by Arcadia Publishing. Tom spent more than two decades as a television journalist and is the recipient of multiple awards for his work. In his occupation as a communications professional, Tom has many years of experience dealing with the press from both the inside and the outside.

Writing Center
Mentor: Library Resources, Nonfiction, and Children’s Books

A children’s librarian for more than 25 years, Judy Gann selects Christian fiction for a large library system in Washington State. The librarian for Library Insider, she also serves as a public library marketing consultant for Christian publishers and authors, assisting them in their marketing efforts to public libraries.

The author of The God of All Comfort: Devotions of Hope for Those Who Chronically Suffer (AMG), Judy lives in Lakewood, Washington, where, when she isn’t writing her first novel, speaking, or playing matchmaker for books and readers, she enjoys cheering for the Seattle Mariners, collecting children’s books, and taking long walks—even in the rain. Judy is also the manuscript coordinator for the conference and served on the Cascade Writing Contest & Awards Committee.

Conference Director Lindy Jacobs writes stories about God’s unending grace in her contemporary novels. She has written screenplays, story lines for CBS television, short stories, and Sundayschool curricula. Lindy has served as the director of Christian Education and Family Ministries in her church. This is her third year directing the OCW summer coaching conference. She enjoys encouraging other writers and frequently leads critique workshops. She blogs about the writing life on her website http://www.LindyJacobs.com. Lindy and her husband make their home in Central Oregon. Her favorite Scripture is “I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day” (2 Timothy 1:12 niv).

Writing Center: Editing

Sue Miholer owns Picky, Picky Ink and freelances as an editor for various publishers and individual clients. She writes mostly short devotional pieces and has edited almost 50 books in the last 15 years. Her four grandchildren are in the area, and she’s involved in their lives. Besides serving as OCW’s business manager and registrar, she is also active in her local church.

Nicole M. Miller is a writer, history buff, equestrienne, and a former rodeo queen—all of which come together in her writing. She has received awards for her nonfiction, but historical fiction is her true love. A social media coordinator at a university by day, she also coaches writers and small-business owners in utilizing social media as a marketing tool.

Workshop: Working with—and Perhaps Even for—Your Local News Media and Beyond (Panel)

Julie McDonald Zander is the compiler of the summer conference notebook, co-chair of the Cascade Writing Contest & Awards Committee, and served as OCW’s newsletter editor for three years. She worked as a newspaper reporter and editor for 20 years before launching her personal history business, Chapters of Life, in 1999.

She has published more than three dozen personal, company, and community histories during the past decade, including a 30-year history of the Centralia Christian School. She was in charge of organizing the 2006 Association of Personal Historians conference in Portland. Julie and her husband, Larry, live in Toledo, Washington, with their 18-year-old son, Paul, and 13-year-old daughter, Nora.
