Liz Curtis HiggsLiz Curtis Higgs is a popular conference speaker and the author of nearly 30 books, with more than three million in print, including her best-selling nonfiction series, Bad Girls of the Bible, Really Bad Girls of the Bible, Unveiling Mary Magdalene, and Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible. Also included in that number are her award-winning Scottish historical novels inspired by the biblical book of Ruth, Here Burns My Candle and Mine Is the Night, a New York Times bestseller. Her children’s Parable Series received a 1998 ECPA Gold Medallion for Excellence, her nonfiction book Embrace Grace won a 2007 Retailers’ Choice Award, and her novel Whence Came a Prince received a 2006 Christy Award for Best Historical Novel. Here Burns My Candle won the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award for Best Inspirational Romance of 2010 and her historical Mine Is the Night was nominated for a Christy in 2012. Award-winning careers in radio broadcasting, public speaking, nonfiction writing, and children’s books honed Liz’s storytelling talents, bringing her back to her first love, writing historical fiction. Georgene Rice has been a talk-show host with KPDQ radio in Portland for more than 20 years and has traveled internationally as a station correspondent. In 2003 Georgene served as the chief spokesman and debater for the Defense of Marriage Coalition, which successfully amended Oregon’s constitution. She has lectured on university campuses and is a frequent speaker and worship leader at Christian conferences and retreats. Georgene has served on several boards and regularly volunteers for charitable organizations. Both Georgene and her husband, Dan, are musicians who have traveled around the world teaching and performing Gospel music.
