Oregon Christian Writers Founded in 1963, we are an organization of writers, both amateur and professional, who are Christians. Our members write for both ministry and markets.
Join us August 12-15, 2013 for the OCW 2013 Summer Coaching Conference!
The conference will be held at the beautiful Jantzen Beach Red Lion Hotel in Portland, and will encourage conferees toward excellence in both their writing and their spiritual journeys.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Guard the Treasure,” and is based on the following verse:
“Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.” (2 Timothy 1:14, NASB)

We’re working on getting more periodical editors. (I think Lindy just mentioned that we have someone coming from Upper Room.) These editors are often so overworked with monthly deadlines for their publications that it’s hard to lure them away to conferences.
Jeff Gerke has made a tremendous impact on my writing. Is there any chance he will be at the 2013 conference?

Will Kat O’Shea from Leap Books be there again this year? I’ve heard so many great things about how much time she spent helping and mentoring some of my friends long after the conference was over. I write YA and would love to meet her. Oh, and writer Jill Williamson too.
